I appreciate the follows but I can't with the "Dems are doomed" or "it's over if they (fill in the blank)". This is a war not a quiz show. It's about strategy, not blanket statements. If you think that little of Dems/Libs/Progs you may not want to hook up.
Disagree. Republicans are prepared to let people in the United States die by withholding food and access to medical care. They aren't yielding shit. They're psychopaths playing chicken that are all too happy to crash the car then blame the bystanders.

People fired by DOGE still need to pay rent/mortgage, food, expenses. Ditto those forced to work through a shutdown w/out wages. How are these people getting their needs met? Yes we need to display courage but casualties are mounting for each day of shutdown. The financial hardship is devastating.

A month ago I was in a black mood every time Republicans did (fill in the blank). Now I get they're rotten to the core, out to kill people in their own country if they're not given the loyalty they think they so richly deserve. Last Tuesday told them they can shove it. We continue to fight on.

Bigger picture: people currently working government jobs without a paycheck. Some are being evicted. Others need SNAP which went bye-bye with the shutdown. There's currently no money for gas, food, car insurance or rent. Others were fired from their jobs thanks to DOGE. Same stich applies, no money.

100% right. We need to fight through strategy, not by a heart full of hate. Project 2025 is the hate. They're cruelty is monumental, our maneuvers must be sound and sure. We won't win every round simply because a party of vicious haters are doing everything in their power to injure. We must prevail.

2) This is a day by day fight. I say don't believe a GD word from Republicans but if there's a chance to negotiate food for kids from a terrorist...for now, take it. Tomorrow he'll snatch it back, the day after the people will hate him more. It's a sh*t-show to force a choice between food & illness.

1) I hear you. The problem is Republicans hold all the cards, are led by a demented POTUS & backed by cruel administration officials like Stephen Miller that only want complete loyalty to a sadistic regime. We keep thinking they'll give when it's actually a parasitical relationship.

I was that kid on welfare that had a parent look in the cupboard and say in a panicked voice "I don't know what we're going to eat tonight." That shit leaves a mark. Don't expect you to agree or have my experience, but I'm not gonna debate what we each decide is more important either. It's a no-win.

That won't change if the government reopens. This is music to my ears, but hungry kids is a blight on the country's soul. SNAP needs to resume ASAP.

Of course healthcare is a priority, good God. But feeding kids should top the list. We're in an impossible position right now, but not out of the running on other issues. Reopen, resume SNAP make Johnson do his GD job by swearing in vote #218.

I can't help thinking if choosing to make sure children are fed via reopening the government means Dems lose support then voters are way more f*cked up than previously thought.

In the meantime, SNAP has dried up and blown away. Kids may not eat this month. This shouldn't a feed people or save them via healthcare options. But GD it, here we are. This country is currently so dirty it stinks.

Some won't survive, that's the gross reality under a Trump regime. We're arguing over keeping the government closed to protect healthcare or opening it to feed people. That's literally where we're at right now. Feed people OR save them from sickness. I've been thinking of Stalin all day today.
