Not cosy apocalypse, and also not fiction, but this long essay book by Katie Goh (and part of the 404 Inklings series) has so far been a fascinating read!

Hi! I’m FuzzyLilTeaGoblin (one and the same from instagram) if you’ve found me from there, welcome! If you have never heard of me before, I make cosy illustrations inspired by my love for Moomins, Over the Garden Wall, Lord of the Rings and just fantasy in generals (see some fun examples below).
