Re: white, if be has a call from timber (maybe he did) all he has to do is a basic dummy down the line and turn back to the CB. It looked like a really obvious option to me?

My point being that the penalty incident wasn’t out of control, it was a proper attempt to nick the ball and that’s exactly what he did to my mind?

Feels like strokes gained in golf.
Part of that theory being basically the closer to the hole you get the ball on any given shot, the better chance you have of holing the next shot.
So back to throws - get the ball in the penalty area and you have a better chance (chaos etc) of a positive outcome

I think he’s in a learning phase. Bet he’s taking in a ton of new info at the moment and finding his feet in a new side under pressure to win every week. He’ll be fine!

Exactly right. Even a simple firmly hit pass through the lines to find a midfielder seems to be too risky for them, and if they ever do make that pass, the receiver usually just wall passes it back rather than taking it on the half turn and bursting forwards.

Not sure what happened to only the captain being allowed to talk to the ref either. Why do they even bother with these initiatives?
