SO PROUD of my student Reese, who won the @anthgen.bsky.social OTPAG Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Presentation for their poster on Gut Microbial Sampling as a Proxy for SIV Status in Wild Vervet Monkeys! Well done, Reese, and so well-deserved!

The husband and I are on our official “baby moon” in Costa Rica! So far, so good: Playa Hermosa is really living up to its name!

My “Meet a Scientist” talk at @museumofscience.bsky.social was a really fantastic time! Such a good audience with great questions about conservation, genetics, what it takes to differentiate species, and of course monkey poop (and the venue can’t be beat). Really hope to do it again soon!
