I don’t speak for my employer
I am really hoping we are in for just a 20-25% drop, but my lifetime has included two 50% drops, and we have seen longer and more grinding events prior to that.

Rotting in prison is the most moderate position I am willing to take.

Congratulations, doctor!

Good lord. Some things should not have a statute of limitations. Reporting like this is on the list.

If that works, please share. There seems to be way too much shit needing incineration for one person to be able to cover it all.

I am also amazed at just how much we have learned from the last century and a half of telescopes, observations, and theory. It is an astonishing amount of understanding in a relatively short time.

Ooooo. Fun!

How did you select the model?

I’ve been eying them speculatively for a while, but have not had the room, cash, and time all at once.

There is a part of me imaging a Scrooge moment where he realizes the psychic burden of who he has been. Of course, there’s also a part of me that claps for Tinkerbell.

Seems right.

I have seen many large companies jettison perfectly adequate products because they’re not as profitable as their greatest hit. Almost any other company would be satisfied with booking high single to low double digit profit margins, but that’s not enough to let Xbox survive at MS.

Our local democratic club has struggled to find candidates for a number of races like school board or city council. To anyone in a district with an uncontested race, please run! Your local dem clubs might be able to connect you with others who did.

Ewww ewww eww. Those poor employees.

I remember working in the bookstore, which I really liked in general. I just hated the forced friendliness.

Our family was worried and motivated enough to knock on hundreds of doors for yes on prop 50. I think some concern was warranted, as is some joy in being proven wrong.

Very much this. I cannot comprehend the greed and shortsightedness that goes from “we have literally half of everything” and responds by starving people.

I was listening to Marketplace recently, and one of the segments was on how chocolate is getting more expensive while gummy candies are not, so the assortment bags would have less chocolate by percentage.

Wow! Now I want some of those!

Let’s try this experiment!

Yes, and it was clearly of similar scope. Look at solar growth in Texas and BYDs electric market share.

I always try to remember the byline of the propagandists. When we as a population start to recognize their active role in creating the world we are in comes to light, I doubt people will be kind.

I’m not sure whether to use shimmer or sheen inks for the rage letters. Perhaps Diamine Wrath?

Agree about the movie being a good one, but beg to differ on the soundtrack.

The Ladyhawke soundtrack was a total fave for our gaming group.
