#292 Nioh 2
Still hacking away at the DLC's, but this is my new fave "soulslike" not called Sekiro, the depth of tools at your disposal makes it so incredibly fun to engage with, and most enemies and bosses are great. Gets a little easy near the end, but man, it's just so so fun, it's a 10/10

Very cute main couple, unfortunately feels like a few things didn't get the space, time or development needed, but it was still a nice read

#290 One Battle After Another
Great physical Penn performance, and I really love having a big 2025 blockbuster all about how white supremacists are pathetic suckers and how revolutionaries are based and correct. Insane direction from PTA as always. 9/10

#289 Her Tale of Shim Chong
Gorgeous doomed yuri with an incredibly compelling set of characters. Tough read at times, since the world and most characters are so incredibly misogynistic, just absolutely infuriating.

#288 Our Dreams at Dusk
Not yuri, but a very interesting and emotional story with a lot of different queer identities represented, which I enjoyed very much. Not a fan of the conflation of ace/aro into just "asexuality", but I assume (hope?) that's a culture/language thing rather than the intent.

#287 Spiral: From the Book of Saw
So much wasted potential, probably the best villain since 1, but the movie is so terribly written and directed, the traps kinda just suck, and Chris Rock doesn't work at all in this role, so it completely falls apart. 3/10

Unbelievably gorgeous art, truly breathtaking at times, and incredibly beautiful and heartfelt storytelling, I absolutely adore it

I do like these Romeo and Juliet type romances, and this has some very nice minor character development, which I appreciate a lot

#284 Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon
Very sweet, lovely to get some actual ace-rep with a happy ending, far too often, when portrayed positively, it's still conflated with aromanticism and leaves the character alone but content, so this was a nice change of pace.

#283 Love and Dreams Don't Mix
Wraps up a bit too quick, curse of being a single volume no doubt, but it's quite charming nonetheless

Didn't know this got serialized, it's a bit slow, but it's just so incredibly sweet I don't even mind, really love this one

#281 The Faculty
Kinda mad I got queerbaited by Robbie Rodriguez, but this is a surprisingly fun and cool little high-school horror flick with a great cast of characters and John Stewart for some reason? 6(8)/10 cuz I got queerbaited(-2).

But also, being outside the jobmarket is literally killing me so idk what's even left for me at this point
