Massive thanks to Oxford Capoeira Society for filling the walk with music, and to Mohsen Mohamed, bilingual Egyptian poet, for supporting front of house and stewarding to help make sure everyone was welcomed and could join in.

A huge thank you to artists Lois Muddiman and Miranda Miller (@emotionalclay) for leading the main workshops making the willow and paper creations, across two weekends to ensure we could have nature-based creations for over 100 adults and children!

We headed towards @ovadagallery.bsky.social where we stopped off to let everyone enjoy their Diwali decorations for another night. Those who wanted a longer walk continued on to Faulkner St & Friar's Wharf before heading back to OVADA for #WellTogether funded healthy hot food & drinks.

Led by Filipino artist Bethenie Carriaga's beautiful willow dragonfly, decorated by two participants on the evening itself, we walked along the river and through St Thomas' including Christchurch Old Buildings, one remaining example of social housing from 1866

At 5pm we set off, lighting up the streets on our walk through St Thomas and St Ebbe's, the same streets depicted in the pop up working class people's history exhibition that's been in 15 Park End Street's windows these past weeks.
