It is very rare for any recount to change the outcome of an election in WA. Christine Gregoire went from losing to winning after the recount in her 2004 Gubernatorial race, but that was a statewide recount, involving millions of votes.

That's exactly why we funded a independent expenditure to support progressives in Spokane this year! And it's looking like we have a clean sweep! 🥳

In the other close race we've been watching, @edwinobras.bsky.social is now ahead by comfortable 1,500 votes, all but ensuring that he has prevailed over Kevin Schilling and his big corporate backers!

Possibly the largest in Seattle history, but definitely beaten out by the razor close race by Christine Gregoire for Governor in 2004, when she defeated Republican Dino Rossi by just 129 votes!

The larger number of ballots in King County outside of Seattle being counted today will likely give us a much better idea of who's winning the 33rd LD House seat: bsky.app/profile/fuse...
Big news from the latest King County drop of ballots: @edwinobras.bsky.social has finally pulled ahead of Kevin Schilling in the #WALeg race for the 33rd Legislative District!

Obras now leads by ~200 votes in this critical race.
