Re: stickers on lampposts etc, have you noticed the high proportion that relate to German football? They get absolutely everywhere (including out in the sticks - Hertha Berlin and Magdeburg are both represented on lampposts between mine and the Tesco Express five minutes' walk from here).

The window, which dates to 1917 and was produced by Lowndes & Drury, commemorates the life of Lt William Torquill Macleod Bolitho. It was restored in 2018, "to confirm our commitment to tolerance and peace."
