With insects, I feel it's best to focus on the base shapes first to help avoid getting lost in the details. A grasshopper is a good example imo. they have a lot of overlapping shapes, but they're still distinct enough to separate. Once the base shapes are down, it's basically filling in.

Only monster hunter fans are gonna understand this, but damn if it doesn't feel on point.

Awesome, I personally love visual feedback like that. Tells me that what I'm doing is having an effect, and gives a little extra impact. A game I've played called ScourgeBringer is really good at visual feedback.

Yeesh that reminds me of the master/slave days of hardware, and jumper switches. Oh and slotted CPUs.
November 19, 2025 at 5:24 PM
Absolutely, but also having large chunks of service connections going to a slew of datacenters under a single banner, running the same or similar configurations, doesn't help either. Meanwhile they just proved one file can apparently affect it. If were somehow scaled up, that could be much worse.

They won't, not until it breaks for real, or people start hosting their own stuff again.

A lesson in why Centralization is bad for the internet as a whole. Centralization makes it easier to break.

Particle spray on hit? Sounds solid! Maybe even a spray giving visual feedback to the player when it's destroyed? Making some assumptions on how this boss works, but seems like you're going for destroying the legs to bring down the shield maybe? Neat accident either way.

I'd take a spot, but unfortunately need to hold onto funds for the moment. Hope to get a comm from ya again in the future though.

"Ah, I see, this can was poorly made. Fortunately we invented tools for such a situation."

t did go over your head. The point of the video is conveying the feeling "You're just now realizing this?", it isn't directly blaming white liberals, it's saying that even those of them against these issues took a long time to even realize it.

I'm one of them :B
November 16, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Absolutely, I have a lot of ideas for games and mechanics, but I'm awful at coding so I've tried starting game dev, but can't really get anywhere. Can't guarantee my ideas are great, but I don't mind offering them :P
November 16, 2025 at 1:53 PM
Also I didn't say before, but if this is the kind of music to expect from the game, I'm looking forward to that.
November 16, 2025 at 2:22 AM
Sorry I tend to brain dump when I get ideas :P

As is, the square with the oscillation is definitely much more visually distinct.
November 16, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Then as it takes hits, it changes to a square, then triangle, before breaking. Just seems like a neat visual way of knowing how much shield is left. While also giving a visual representation of shield strength. Hexagon = Strong, Square = Middling, Triangle = Weak.
November 16, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Wow, that's actually really effective. Not sure how the shield work exactly, but That might work really well as a sort of reaction to the shield being hit. Just a random thought, but it made me think like starting as a hexagon, oscillating to a square.
November 16, 2025 at 2:21 AM
The way I've done it is to make a diamond, elongate it, curve the edges, then clean up.
November 15, 2025 at 2:52 AM
My mind goes to simple shapes like hexagon, square, triangle when I think of a shape, hard corners between less defined lines like the reuleaux triangle.
November 13, 2025 at 3:46 PM
To me as a player, sields feel and usually look fairly solid. In that mindset the shield from here feels squishy almost, more like an organic barrier. from a creative mindset it looks nice, but may need a more controlled visual appearance to avoid looking like something that it isn't portraying.

Is it laziness or burnout?
November 11, 2025 at 1:35 PM
Ferret not present unfortunately, but that's ok, they're probably off somewhere in a box of packing peanuts having a grand time.
November 10, 2025 at 2:38 AM
How dare you be courteous and say hello! Now I'm obligated to shake your hand. What is this "friendliness"!?
November 10, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Pet, pat, rub face, squish cheeks. Do not resist, you know you want to.
