Sort of-and sort of not. I took a few year forced hiatus from who after that because we moved to the states and couldn't pick up the local PBS station from the next big city until we got cable around 1980. Then I was finally able to watch again and catch up. Prior to that Dr who novels were it!

Indeed. My earliest memory in life is of Planet of the Spiders, the third doctors final story!

Also... Also... I just wanted to say that talking about letting go of things, particularly negative feelings toward others, really hit home. Even at my age that can be a hard lesson to learn and not the easiest skill to master. The world has enough negativity in it these days. Stay furry!

That's an interesting take. I sort of do YouTube for much the same reason-I consider it a personal video diary kind of thing-but I do also thrive on comments. Luckily I seem to have some of the best commenters in the Fandom (mostly- It's YouTube after all). I appreciate you sharing your perspective!

Wishing you all the best. Still lookin great! Was only slightly disappointed I had to come here to comment rather than directly on your YouTube video though!
But heck yeah... U go boy! Tbh, learning to let go of shit is a powerful tool...sounds like you're there, ready to improve your life!

Oh it's definitely not as bad of a movie as one would think! I was definitely not a fan of Vanilla Ice (kinda love him in more recent years though) buy found the movie surprisingly OK. (just ok)

On the subject of Purple Rain I agree with Fox Mulder:

"Purple Rain. Great album. Deeply flawed movie."

(but still better than Cool as Ice IMO)

Cool as Ice, right? Purple Rain is better, as far as those types of completely flawed movies go... :)

Hey I've got plenty of music laserdiscs! Madonna, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, the Windham Hill Sampler...

(one of these things is not like the other)
October 25, 2025 at 2:33 PM
What's even weirder is laserdiscs were analog video technology - people have a hard time grasping that analog video was being read off an optical disc with a laser! (they did eventually have digital sound and even 5.1 though!) incidentally I'm holding part of a two disc set of Blade Runner.

Yeah I suppose that is one advantage. I'm the same username everywhere so far so I'm pretty easy to find! I don't really "get" Instagram though. I dunno... I'm old.

Oh I totally remember the Discovery Channel store... I remember very well when one opened at the mall I worked at because I worked at Learningsmith, which was a similar store!

I can neither confirm nor deny that I may or may not have this literally posted on my bathroom mirror.

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
