I don't have much of a finished ref yet, but uhhhhh this is my fluffy dragon OC who is based on anthocyanin and their scales change color according to their emotions. Thank you for the opportunity, I look forward to seeing who wins!

These events are not related, but it sucks they happened so close together. I was walking my dog at 1am on Thursday, this dude was at the corner and asked if I had a light, then if my dog was friendly. I did the walk as normal, but found the guy standing outside the door to my building--

I was using a dry food sample from the pet store as the treats, and I guess I wasn't putting it away well enough because she has found it 4 separate times, and I'm honestly not sure how she's even getting the food out, as there's only a small corner torn off to get it out from???? Anyways, cat tax

Managed to score a free puzzle feeder the other day. I was curious which of my cats would be into it--PB is smart, but not very food motivated, and Lil Miss is food motivated, but not very smart(though she is a good hunter!)
PB wasn't really interested in it, but Lil Miss LOVES IT.

She's extremely sweet, VERY soft, loves chicken, rice, pumpkin, and peanut butter. She's been very good about wearing her boots in the snow, is patient when we put her raincoat on her, and is magnetically attracted to bodies of water. It's very hard to keep her out of the water lol.

Nowadays she's a lazy couch potato who gets multiple belly rubs every day, plenty of treats, long walks, and a lot of love. She used to be really reactive towards other dogs, she's been doing a LOT better with training, but she still has her moments. She responds well to consistent communication--

This is going to be a long lore dump thread about my step-dog, my partner's dog who I've come to know over the last few years, and very well these past 6 months. Molly is about 7 years old, a mix of 22+ different breeds, and rescue from somewhere in the Southern US. TW: Abuse (Human and Animal)

She's acting SUPER kitten like and happy and mischievous which is GREAT. Lil Miss has a perch on the cabinet in our bedroom and loves having that safe space. She's also been more outgoing, though she's also been more confrontational with the dog, Molly.

My cat has diabetes mellitus. I'll take her in next week so they can show me how to give her the insulin, but damn this is not an expense I can afford now.
She doesn't show signs of ketoacidosis, which is great, but she's 12 years old and already ate mostly wet food, so I'm not hopeful for remission
