With the [ Moderation ] tools, you can set what content you see.

In [ Settings > Home Feed Preferences ], you can change whether you see replies, reposts, and quote posts by the accounts you're following.

There are a number of third-party apps. You can generate app passwords in [Settings > App Passwords]

🌎 tokimekibluesky.vercel.app has the benefit of a media tab (currently missing from the main Bsky app) and private bookmark folders (accessible as "lists" by clicking the central "HOME" logo.)

Rather than one single algorithm, Bluesky lets users create their own Feeds which can be shared.

SkyFeed 🌎 skyfeed.app is an example of an app for building Feeds.

Inputs to a Feed can be search terms from the global feed/specified users, or individual posts.

A common use is 🖼️ art galleries!

Bluesky is still in beta development which is why the platform is still invite-only & features are missing.

Like Mastodon, Bluesky plans to roll out federation.

Mastodon runs on the 'ActivityPub' protocol. Bluesky is developing the 'AT Protocol' & will run federation a little differently.

You can change your user handle to a domain name you own by going to
Settings > Change Handle > I have my own domain name

You will need to put a TXT DNS record at the _atproto. subdomain, listing your DID (public user ID)

CURRENT QUIRKS:
When replying to your own posts, they currently do not get bumped to the top of your followers' feed

The AI NSFW labeler often makes mistakes. If you have NSFW content set to 'Hide' & Bsky mistakes your image as NSFW, it will disappear from you but still be visible to everyone else
