This year was my first time ever volunteering for the 35th Annual Perris #Christmas Parade, and I honestly went into it just hoping to have fun and help bring a little extra holiday magic to the community. I never expected how special the entire experience would end up being.

After one too many conventions (and one memorable photoshoot in actual snow), I’m letting go of my beloved custom Jack Frost #cosplay pants and I’m genuinely sad about it… but they deserve to be worn and loved by someone else!

Tonight I’m lighting candles for those who came before me and the parts of myself I’m still learning to claim. Día de los Muertos helps me step closer to my Cuban roots with gentleness—listening to stories in photos, tasting sweetness in spice, and letting marigolds teach me how memory glows.
