This is Mr W’s busiest time of year. He won’t be ‘on holiday’ until noon on the 25th, BUT these weeks before Christmas are my favourite because I get to see him do absolutely wonderful things & create moments of real beauty for people 🎶

…and with lots of singers in the house, we basically don’t stop singing from Remembrance in November, until after Eucharist on Christmas morning… some highlights so far - notice our little concert roadies in the last photo 😂

…and here are my favourite things - I made these last year out of paper and card - they are super easy to do!…

5/… The first draft is ‘the rubbish version’. We write it in our books. At first, all we do is throw down a load of ideas, sometimes without shape or definition. And then, like they are pebbles on the beach, we make a little sculpture.

Rubbish version first. Crafted version later.

8/… and, while I care greatly about the quality of my content and delivery, I don’t take MYSELF too seriously. I aim to be relaxed and honest and genuinely helpful. You’ll get no unnecessary fanciness or frills with me, but you WILL get nuance, reality and a bit of a laugh.

I am a huge advocate for people with parental and caring responsibilities accessing high-quality CPD. The course is recorded so you can come back to the parts you miss any time you like.

Months ago we put all the wooden train stuff away. This morning I brought it back out again and it’s like they are discovering it all over again. Unbridled joy, collaboration, problem solving and little squeals of glee every time they find another interesting bridge ❤️😂

I bloody love kids.

I’m at a teacher thing this evening and bumped into Cathy - the wonderful human who was my PGCE mentor. She changed my world that year after a first placement where I didn’t think I could do it. An absolute legend ❤️
