I like mushrooms
Saw this mystery ooze while camping. There was more of it that appeared in the same spot over the course of 2 days. Star jelly? Nostoc? Does anyone know what it could be?

My bf only learned recently that for the most part birds don't roost in nests every night, they just lay eggs and raise their young in nests. But he can't remember the word "roost" so he says "brood." "Birds brood in trees" like they are emo teens

My bf couldn't remember the word "burrs" so he calls them "bumbles" and he can't remember the word "cormorant" so he calls them "corcomons" 😂

Do you ever think about how for most of the time humans have existed, there have been multiple species of humans? The time we live in now, where we are the only species in our genus, is really the aberration. I think about this a lot

I often think about how insects are the closest thing we have to fairies IRL. They're mysterious and otherworldly, beautiful and terrifying, they give so much to us and take so much away. They're often unseen but our whole lives depend on them

Some winecaps (Stropharia rugosoannulata) that I grew in my garden beds. They're edible and great for building the soil
