Ok bet lol. For a first book I would recommend a glueless binding since then you don’t need to buy the fancy bookbinding glue and all you really need is cardboard, paper, string, needle, and a razor of some kind to cut slits into the cardboard :)
Open-bound book. This was actually made from a box! The narrow side of the box makes up the spine of the book and the wide faces of the box were cut down to the size of the text block. This works well because the cardboard is pre-folded so you don’t have to worry about measuring.
