Understood, and I don’t mean to be harsh. I’m on a bit of a crusade right now due to the increasing numbers of corporations and investment firms in global football who seem to be in it just for the money, not because they have any actual interest in the sport.

Wrong. You can speak directly to your fans without sounding like a third-grader *or* a soulless corporation, it’s not a binary choice. Just like any other craft, writing can be tailored in many ways. Modifying the tone and voice of your writing creates all kinds of options.

A) No space between corporate and speak. A single word is delightfully Orwellian.
B) Just write the release to explain to soccer fans why they should be excited about these changes, not shareholders in a board room who are looking to leverage their ROI and move the needle with some real value adds.
