There's also a difference between spoiling the ending to some knights and dragons RPG vs a story that's built around keeping you guessing and making your own theories as you go along like 13 Sentinels or Umineko.

Literally my only complaint is that act 2 drags a little towards the end when it makes you do side quests and find fleas for the true ending quest, that part could have been handled a little more smoothly.

Honestly I think reaper is more of a crutch for players who need the extra healing. Wanderer with the charm that reduces knockback equipped lets you hit three times in the time reaper gets one hit in and it's the best at pogo jumping too.

Enemy damage is balanced around your toolkit. Hornet is way more mobile than the Knigh was, has multiple ranged attack options and can *heal in mid-air*. Little Ghost had to plant his ass on the ground for upwards of 5 seconds to heal 1 HP at a time.

I'm seeing a lot of grumbling about this part in particular and idk, I just see it as the game forcing you to lab your platforming for a bit.

My Silksong hot take is that this boss run isn't really that bad and teaches valuable platforming optimization skills that will make you a better player than you were before it.
