I constantly ask this question too. The purpose of a business is to make money. The purpose of a government is to take care of its citizens.

I disagree with you, Marc Abrams. If people have a place to be rational and thoughtful, it is more likely they will be. And perhaps some people who don’t usually pay attention to political news might find some truth here.

The 2 parties are basically the same. I put in time with the Dems because they are the lesser of two evils. The world of our 2 party system is not as black and white as you see it.

Dems and Repubs are to blame. The single thing they do agree on is to preserve the 2 party system they preside over. Ceding any power to Bernie is a loss. They both have thwarted all attempts by anyone expressing thought independent of their platforms. I am a Dem because it’s the lesser of 2 evils.

So many responses saying do something. Bernie’s always doing something. The question is why did so many Americans sit on their couch, probably complaining about the orange man, instead of voting? And why don’t the rest of the current Dems in office present bills for free education & good healthcare?
