I’ve been making these sorts of lists for games, music and movies since I was in college 20 years ago and at a certain point I stopped calling it “Game of the Year” and started calling it “10 Games I Really Like This Year” instead because “GOTY” started to feel like a self important trademark.

My local record shop tonight somehow had a used copy of the new SML record for $5. Excited to give it a spin with some coffee tomorrow morning.

Your post made me want to see what else is happening at Solar Myth, so I checked but SML actually seems sold out? I dunno, I see two different dates listed in different places online 12/10 and 12/11, but only 12/11 listed on Solar Myth’s website and it’s sold out. Bummer.

I think they’re playing Solar Myth in Philly. Cool little wine bar if you’ve never been. Tiny venue, saw Kelly Moran there a couple of months ago.

Good choice, I feel like their energy would be perfect for a small, punky room like Black Cat. I saw The Dismemberment Plan there ages ago and it’s one of my favorite show memories.
