Just finished these two books. I highly recommend both. Understanding our laws and how they came to be (remember they were largely created by slaveholders), and how they are designed to support a white, elite, patriarchy is enlightening.

And we're on the way home. Adventures and laughs were had, so was rain, mud, and high winds. You can't control the weather, but you can control your outlook.

Photos can never capture the whole experience, but the California coastline is always beautiful. Backpacking and camping was really challenging with rain, mud, and high winds. In fact we spent a very comfortable night at the Banning House when the ferry home was cancelled.
