Still doesn’t post that much. He/They
Ironically, I think the reactions we’re seeing is a big reason why companies don’t share that stuff, same with early builds or cancelled projects. Big portion of the gaming audience isn’t mature enough to handle it sadly.

I’ve been getting it for “free” through MS’s Rewards program, but they got rid of the ability to get Game Pass with it yesterday so 🤷 I have like 3 years banked and after that I’ll probably just be done

It sucks. I had been getting a decent amount of cool stuff (relatively) cheap from Japan in the past couple years thanks to the weak yen, but not anymore. Obviously my toys being more expensive doesn’t even crack the top 100 Worst Things this administration has done, but yeah, still sucks

I don’t think Kirby has online co-op just FYI, or are some of you gonna be together in person?

Love that “Rambi” is in quotes, nice tease of what that episode’s gonna look like lol

I read that as “you need multiplied systems for this specific multiplayer mode (local wireless),” not “you need multiple systems for multiplayer at all” but I could be wrong, we’ll find out soon enough anyway

The top right of the city trial menu sure seems to indicate split screen, but they didn’t explicitly say it in the direct so who knows

It kinda makes for an unsatisfying ending, like all our new strength was pointless if Freeza can just one-shot everyone, even if that does make for a hype panel. Maybe when we get to the confrontation between the heroes and Freeza this is setting up I'll feel better about it.

Gas's power set continues to be "whatever Toyotaro feels like drawing at the time" but I suppose with this much fighting its good to keep things fresh. Mixed on Freeza, as much as I like him it feels like him (and Bardock tbh) were put in this arc more for their popularity than any good reason

Between Vegeta's masochism and Zombie Gas, it's a real brutal couple of chapters, which I do like, even if it maybe descends a bit to much into body horror near the end. Everyone working together to give Granolah his shot is great, and honestly I might've preferred if the arc ended there.

whitewashing of the Saiyans by Monaito here, it’s nuts. Also Bardock saying he fights to win/to beat someone down and that’s apparently a revelation?? So much so that our two heroes are suddenly fine working together? What the hell does “our people’s pride” even mean really? Please enlighten me WGP!

is so poorly thought out I just gotta pretend it didn’t happen and move on, so in a weird way it doesn’t bother me that much. What does upset me is Goku remembering his parents and talking about his roots as a Saiyan, feels like it goes against the themes I loved in the Saiyan Saga. Also craaaaazy

Good things: I like the Goku/Gas fight. Between Goku trying to talk him down, the fun teleporting around, and all the humiliation and subsequent reaction at least gives Gas some personality finally. The action continues to be well drawn as well. The Bad: Honestly the wish is one of those things that

Can definitely imagine this starting to feel like a slog reading month-to-month, hopefully it picks up in the next volume.
July 1, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Gas goes from using conjured weapons (which I do like tbh) to standard Ki moves to… turning into Broly??? I like Granolah fine, but Gas does not have the character or charisma to sustain 3 chapters straight of fighting, and it looks like it’s gonna keep going.
July 1, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Bardock stuff sucks as I feared. He was a punk-ass bitch who did genocide regularly and he and the rest of the Saiyans got what was coming to them. Also, why would Vegeta even know some random low-class Saiyan, let alone that he’s Goku’s dad? Gas fight is well drawn, but is kinda lacking focus?

This is why I always start with a quick ball, just in case. Of course, now all my Pokemon are in quick balls, but luckily I don't care about that sort of thing

My misgivings on UE’s design aside, a good set of chapters! As someone who really dislikes the good-guy-ification of Bardock in recent years, that tease at the end could not have made me less excited, but hey, maybe they pull it off…

Conceptually though, I really like it! Its brute-force philosophy contrasts really well with UI, and I love the idea that he has to go heel-mode to really tap into it. The action in this whole volume is honestly pretty solid too, I’m able to follow along with it just fine.
June 17, 2025 at 9:15 PM
Obviously the big star of this volume is Vegeta, who I love, and Ultra Ego, which I’m more mixed on. Visually, I already disliked the extended brow of SSJ3, but that at least had the big hair to pull focus. Not so much here, leading to what is imo the ugliest “form” any of our main cast has ever had

Saiyans" feels a little out of character for the guy who said he didn't care about the Saiyans on Namek. His feelings on "the Saiyans" the people have always been oddly different from the concept of "being a Saiyan," but I suppose he's had a lot of character development since then.

and as a big Beerus fan, it's satisfying to see him get out of the "we don't really know what we wanna do with him, so I guess we just kinda make him comic relief?" hole he's been stuck in since BoG. Leads to some interesting Vegeta characterization, although him "feeling guilty for the sins of all

This arc continues to be pretty good! I continue to enjoy the split narrative, and it's brought together well by the Heeters, whose scheming nature and manipulation from the background makes them really refreshing as DB villains go. The contrast between Vegeta and Goku's new training is neat...
