Happy birthday to my dad. God how I miss him. He would’ve been 96 today. We should be having German chocolate cake together, talking about the Bears (football) and planning how to subvert the government. 😂

Who wore it best? On the left our Cooper. One the right, you know that “famous “ painting. We believe Cooper adds a special something sassy with his tongue sticking out, so that’s our vote. Happy tongue out Tuesday to all who celebrate

A rutilated quartz, in the sunshine. All of the metals and fissures are highlighted in the light. The “imperfections” make this crystal. Just as human imperfections make us beautiful

From the end of my morning walk. The sun is just starting to rise. Sunrise in the southwest is breathtaking when there are clouds for it to perform with. These moments are soul healing. Nature helps us reset

The face you make when you hear people giving up without fighting for a better future (Courtesy of a puppy Cooper). Channel this pissed off puppy energy instead.

From my morning walk in the Sonoran Desert.
Love the ethereal pattern the cirrostratus clouds form around the moon and how the moon illuminates everything around. Shortly after this photo I saw another bludgeon fireball (meteor). That’s the 4th one in less than a week

Captured this image in the summer while visiting the White Mountains in Arizona. First look: blue skies, fluffy sw clouds and towering pine trees. Closer look: 🧵

Not my picture of my walking companion this morning, for a fleeting moment.
I don’t have a photo- much to my husband’s dismay- because a selfie opp didn’t even cross my mind. Many, many things crossed my mind at the time including taking in the full scope of this beautiful being 🧵/

From my morning hike today. The Sonoran Desert mountains never disappoint. I love this desert. Among the many beings I met today: a cactus that looked like it was protecting its private parts 😂, a fireball shooting star that glowed blue green, and 🧵/

Love this little guy. This is our Cooper. He’s 13-ish now, best guess. We rescued him as a pup. He weighs a whopping 13 pounds, which is about 1/2-1/3 of what typical male frenchies weigh. I think the greeders were trying for a mini frenchie. They got one but mangled his spine and organs 🧵/

From my morning hike in the desert. The desert wild is my place of refuge and renewal. My hikes last several hours. I carry my pain and fear into the Sonoran desert and the desert transforms it into hope. Walking among the elders in cactus form, the bushes that look dead but spring to life with 1/
