I’m 39. To me, the American Dream was a house, some kids, and enough money to live comfortably. Not exorbitantly. But the occasional vacation. Enough to help your kids get a good education. And when it was time, the ability to retire and enjoy your golden years in peace.
I have none of that.

She does a lot of good with her money. She donates to charity in every city she tours in and she gives her tour crew crazy bonuses. I’m not saying she isn’t part of the problem as there is no such thing as an ethical billionaire, but honestly she’s one of my last fish to fry.

I’ve been an independent voter for years. While I am firmly on the left and will probably never vote for a Republican, I can’t be a card carrying Democrat either. They clearly don’t know how to adapt to changing political environments. You can’t play nice when dealing with fascists.

They all got paid big bucks by the airlines since the shutdown is causing so many delays and cancelations.

I completely agree. Surely in this country of millions of people there is someone with a conscience and a knowledge of civics that wants to step up to the plate.
I think most good people don’t want to seek power, and those who do are eventually corrupted by money and corporate interests.

The Dems aren’t going to save us as they demonstrated tonight. The Democratic Establishment of old needs to retire or be primaried out. Bring in the fresh blood who actually have spines and can stand up to this fascist nonsense.
