Figured I’d share it here bcs I think a wasp carrying a mud ball is adorable. Organ Pipe Daubers are solitary spider hunting wasps. They are docile around people and a great wasp to observe.

Here are a few native bees from North America. I have been working on wide angle macro and that was the approach for the first two shots. The Two-spotted Longhorn Bee and Nomad Bee were sleeping.

I’m not a new user, but here is a butterfly anyway. I’m from the NE US and had never seen this beauty before visiting Texas. It’s still my favorite butterfly, the Gulf Fritillary. Look at the orange and white striped body!
