The dog caught a mouse in the yard last night, despite my doubts about him possessing the speed, agility, and environmental awareness required for such a feat. My wife was annoyed with him, but I have new respect for our mighty hunter.

I was playing Viva Piñata back in 2006 and enjoying the various (bad) animal puns. Inspired by the "Fudgehog" in the game, my wife and I started tossing "fudge" puns back and forth. I came up with Fudgement Day, and it stuck.
