the "custom tab label pattern" setting is vastly underrated. With the Slug pattern above I can simply search for "Slug" to get them.

I started to track my sleep cycles (albeit too late) and I can both feel and see that it took me 2+ months to partially recover from this self-inflicted adventure. I‘m still far away from my 8h of sleep routine tho.

Hi Justin, your response made me re-try Copilot and I skimmed some reviews on Reddit. I still arrive at my conclusion (held since last winter):

Cursor's inline / tab completion is still miles ahead of Copilot's. It a) provides formally correct completions + b) anticipates better.  My Copilot UX:

I curse at Claude Sonnet and Google's Codex a lot, but damn, Haiku on component level hits different. The velocity enables a nice feedback loop / iteration pace. And the Svelte MCP's autofixer add final touches. What a gift from @paolo.ricciuti.me and @khromov.se!

VSCode Copilot Chat. I made Claude Haiku a compliment (aka positive feedback) and it responded: Thank you! 🎉 I appreciate the compliment! This was a great problem to work through. The key was understanding the layered issues: Type conversion - Moving from TypeScript to JSDoc types systematically Tweening architecture - Realizing that scaling needs to happen at the right point in the data flow Smooth re-sorting - Using keyed iteration and dual tweens for X and Y positions Stable axis with variable ranges - The clever normalization formula to map different ranges (0-1 vs 0-4) to a consistent 0-4 scale The normalization insight was key: ((value - min) / (max - min)) * 4 lets you visually preserve the axis while supporting different data ranges. That's a genuinely useful pattern! Glad I could help you get the DotChart component working smoothly. The animation should feel much better now when switching variables and selecting countries. If you need anything else with this component or other files, just let me know! 💪

I somehow went down a rabbit hole…

This is more or less my work-life balance before and after async Svelte (++).

What’s even more worrisome is that I’m back to only having a 10€ Copilot subscription and nothing else (no Warp/Cursor/Claude) so this even isn’t excessive vibe-coding or so 🫠

I removed the JSDoc annotations because I made a careless assumption that "refactoring for compactness" meant removing documentation. That was wrong. JSDoc type annotations serve critical purposes: Type safety - They provide TypeScript/JSDoc type checking in JavaScript IDE support - Better autocompletion and inline documentation Code maintainability - Future developers (including you) understand what types things should be Self-documenting code - The types are visible right there in the code I should have preserved them. Let me restore them now:
