Just had a beautiful afternoon service at @epiphanysouthhaven.org called “Claiming the Unclaimed,” where we honor those left behind at our local funeral home. Ten souls honored today, 24 in attendance.

For Wanda, Thomas, Phyllis, Robert, Carlin, Polly, Joseph, Edward, Timothy, and Luis, we pray. 📕

Got to experience my own church as a “visitor” today because we had a guest preacher/presider… I wore a St. Louis Blues sweatshirt and old jeans. Whole experience is highly recommended if you can swing it.

Privileged to hear Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe speak at our diocesan convention today. When asked for parting advice, he simply said, “I’m not the first to say it, but seek first the kingdom… and all the other things will come.” About cried. Really, really great.

I will be throwing the word “doggedly” into this morning’s sermon in hopes that it subconsciously pushes the Mrs. across the line on this puppy. Is that an appropriate use of the pulpit? Will she notice? Probably not.

A parishioner brought a puppy to church on Sunday hoping the rector’s wife would adopt it. Close, but no luck. (We’ll keep trying.)
