Last New Year’s Eve, we embarked on our longest trip yet—flying to Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Our route took us northeast until we reached the coast, then north along the shore until we arrived at the island. 🧵

Turkey is mostly meh and we only eat the white meat (Don’t judge). So we got just the breast, brined it overnight, then rubbed in Cajun butter (low salt since it’s brined). Letting the Meater do its thing now.

Clear and concise communication is at the heart of safe flying ✈️. For pilots, every word counts when talking to ATC or other aircraft. Since I fly recreationally I don’t get daily practice to sharpen my skills, which is why I always choose to practice at towered airports.
