After 13 years on this website, it has become clear that X (formerly known as Twitter) is no longer a place where factual news can thrive. At Interrobang, we value truth, respect, and integrity. We value student journalism and uplifting the voices of the vulnerable. As X has descended into an unmitigated breeding ground for hateful rhetoric, bots, and misinformation, we no longer feel as though our publication has a home there. Our mission is to serve our audience, and X is simply not the appropriate platform on which to do that. Despite the challenges we face as a Canadian news publication, and our continued lockout from Meta-owned platforms like Facebook and Instagram, we firmly believe that retreating from X at this time is the right thing to do. We will continue to utilize other outlets to reach our audience, and we highly encourage our readers to find us on Bluesky (@fsuinterrobang), YouTube, and to subscribe to our newsletter to keep up with the latest Fanshawe campus news. To all those who have followed us on Twitter/X over the years, thank you.
