I also dislike this. It leads to huge under diagnosis. I’m peer reviewed (by MANY diagnosed autistics) & my own research points hard at #autism, but under the “traditional” diagnostic, I couldn’t possibly be autistic because I appear typical… it’s called masking babe & it’s automatic!🥹 #audhd
What bothers me most is that people are equating autism with an intellectual disability in their minds, and advocates have fought soooo hard to kill that inaccurate stigma.
