Just returning from a fantastic symposium celebrating my former postdoc mentor, Julia Vorholt, on receiving the Novonesis Biotechnology Prize! Huge congratulations to Julia — and to the Novo Nordisk Foundation on an outstanding choice!

While a single phage treatment did not eradicate the pathogen, we were able to restore plant growth to control levels and found a significant reduction in expression of bacterial virulence-associated genes.

Here, we studied phage biocontrol of Xanthomonas campestris infecting Arabidopsis treated with the lytic phage Seregon using a comprehensive transcriptomics approach.

Indeed, this community is still in exponential phase!
