I feel like an idiot for not seeing this sooner. The name "Arezu" is just the Japanese pronunciation of "Ares". It's the name of the Greek god of war. The same god the Romans would call "Mars". I guess Team Galactic's vibe has always had me thinking exclusively in terms of planets...
