It's like throwing a paper airplane except the jet engines are continuously throwing it forwards the entire time

Watching a video of someone using a jet engine as a leaf blower convinced me that it works. Or seeing how the air blown back out of a jet engine can knock over trucks. Basically it started seeming intuitive that planes work when i realized how ridiculously stupidly powerful jet engines are.
