Slow Mo is not just a combat feature but an ability of your current robot operator. Doing it too often will increase stress. Other operators have different abilities making all of them unique in battle.

Wasn't happy with the explosions so I cut up the mesh into multiple pieces in Blender, added some Rigidbodies and added force when the explosion happens.

Pretty happy with the result for less than an hour of work.

They didn't know what happened, but the science lab was sealed when they arrived. Strange letters appeared before them. Until they decided what to do with this, they had to focus on other things: like not starving and not freezing to death...

Expanding my infestation mechanic.

Contaminators renew the infestation every 15 seconds, but this needs an indicator.

The decontaminated zone should stay clear permanently, but I'm unsure how to achieve this efficiently.

Implemented a bark system. Now, they talk! Included localization as well so they will annoy you in your own language!

Also, hunger and fatigue lead to slower movement.

Just a few days away from a first alpha version!

Reworked the task system and UI: Previously, humans were also at the outpost—now, only robots. Tasks can have requirements regarding robot type. Also created pickup tasks. Salvage destroyed robots, repair them, and use them.

The entire time I implemented this, the ›Inspector Gadget‹ theme song played in my mind.

Anyways...

Using a stationary scanner grants permanent vision and scans the surroundings to detect approaching monsters. No surprises anymore!

Fine-tuning in the robot bay: repair or upgrade components, switch, remove, or add abilities, and abort or reorder jobs in the queue.

I removed individual health values for robot components (too complex and UI-heavy).

Working on enemy AI. The standard path sends them on a straight line to their target, which looked very unnatural.

Still far from finished, but it already looks much better.

Currently working on my robot concept.

What I forgot to add to the video: Damage is applied individually to the 4 subsystems.

When damaged:
Head: less range
Arms: less damage
Core: abilities can't be used
Legs: less movement speed
