If you use a light wood pla, staining and adding beeswax can enhance the effect. With medium-dark wood pla, you can see the grain textures a lot better.
After it prints, sand with 400 grit and coat with this or something similar to protect it.

So, I've been working with a couple of settings in Orca to replicate some wood grain textures with wood pla.
