I would expect the tiebreakers to have the most effect by giving two teams another data point against a highly regarded opponent. I don't think the order of conference finish will have any bearing on the committee rankings per se

UNC vs NCSt in '12. The Heels were up 15-0 after 4 minutes and it was 25-7 later in the 1st qtr. But by the end of the 3rd it was 35-25 NCSt. With 1:24 left Carolina kicked a FG to tie it at 35 and forced NCSt to punt from their own 25 with 30 seconds left. Gio Bernard returned it for the winning TD
