I've created my first Firefox plugin that lets me share the current tab to @frontpage.fyi with minimal effort (mobile and desktop).
It's also the first time I use @atprotocol.dev and it's as cool as it seems.

🚀 You can now create an account right within Frontpage app
@bsky.app will host your data but you don't need a profile on Bluesky if you don't want one!
As always you can still login with your existing account on the Atmosphere either by entering your handle, PDS URL, or with with Bluesky 🦋

Just shipped some UX improvements to @frontpage.fyi login ✨
Those in the mycosphere can login without typing anything
Self hosters can login by entering their PDS URL
Also allows signups! You can signup to any (open) PDS (including bsky.social) without creating a Bluesky profile

If you visit a profile on Ouranos, you'll see a new "Atmosphere" tab. This is part of an ongoing process of supporting ATProto apps. So far I've added support for @frontpage.fyi, @linkat.blue, and @whtwnd.com. The design will evolve as I test and experiment, and I'm aiming to support more apps.

The post/comment will show up eventually, we're just lagging behind a bit right now. No need to try again, that'll just lead to your post showing up twice when we catch up!

Looks like Bluesky is having some issues causing Frontpage to be unavailable for most people. If you have a self hosted PDS you can probably still use the app though 🙈

Shoutout to frontpage.fyi, a HN clone built on AtProto. I was only a Xitter user shortly before the launch of BlueSky (thankfully) but I do find myself wanting for something like Reddit that is ethically built. This is a great start!

Shoutout to frontpage.fyi, a HN clone built on AtProto. I was only a Xitter user shortly before the launch of BlueSky (thankfully) but I do find myself wanting for something like Reddit that is ethically built. This is a great start!

I'm working on data-plumbing for the network map, and now have "operations/minute" firehose metrics for all of the AppViews I'm aware of. I have added the live data to atp.fyi in case you find it interesting!
