As per the Rome Statute, if the Italian judiciary is unable to prosecute, the ICC Prosecutor is obliged to proceed with front-LEX's #ICC case against them. At the ICC, no immunities apply, and the Ministers face up to five years in prison for obstruction of justice

"We are facing the complete collapse of the rule of law at the ICC," Shatz comments...5 years and no prosecution, despite the crimes having been acknowledged... the EU is the last... political and financial friend of the ICC. Realpolitik is a truly sad thing"

“The law of the ICC was born out of European crimes but only applied so far to crimes committed outside of Europe,” @omershatz.bsky.social told the Associated Press. “Our request is simple: to apply the law impartially, also upon European nationals.” www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/1...

We shouldn’t have to say this in 2025: hunting human beings is illegal––like many of Frontex’s activities, from cooperating with the Hellenic Coastguard to sharing the location of migrant boats with Libya, for which we have taken the agency to Court.

> By aiding and abetting these crimes, the suspects also committed crimes against the administration of justice under article 70 of the Rome Statute, offenses that carry up to 5 years’ imprisonment. The Article 70 case against Italian PM hashtag#Meloni remains pending before the ICC.

> pursuant to EU policy to kill by drowning and forcibly transfer all survivors to Al-Masri's prisons.

In the past decade +25,000 refugees were killed by drowning and +150,000 survivors were victimized in prisons a-la- #Al-Masri : murder, rape, torture, enslavement and other inhuman acts.>

🚨 #EU Crimes Against Humanity #Mediterranean🚨

Italy’s Tribunal of Ministers confirms the allegations in our pending #ICC #Al-Masri case v Italian Justice and Interior Ministers, requesting Parliament to remove immunity to enable prosecution!

In an interview with #RAI, Dr. Omer Shatz explains why👇

Frontex’s budget stands at €1 billion.

Yet it demands €7,680 in legal fees from a refugee who endured seven pushbacks and dared to fight back.

The EU’s legal system is designed to deter, not protect.

The “Hellenic colleagues” of Frontex’s Executive Director are charged with causing the shipwreck that killed 600+ asylum seekers—clearly a pushback attempt. To shield them, the ED flew to Athens the next day to publicly absolve:

“The Hellenic colleagues who give their utmost to save lives.”

Our litigation manager @iftachco.bsky.social debunks Frontex's manipulative claims in this new article.

Together with @refugeesinlibya.bsky.social, we are suing Frontex at the @eucourtofjustice.bsky.social.

Its manipulation tactics won't hold up in Court.

Frontex must stop transmitting the location of migrant boats to the Libyan Coast Guard - that's what our most recent case with @refugeesinlibya.bsky.social and @davidyambio.bsky.social aims at.
