Yeah, it's been slow. For sanctions to work and be a viable threat, Russia needs to be removed from various streams of income - it's bonkers that our governments didn't see this coming.

They have had several years to remove their dependency on Russian energy. Trump talks a lot of rubbish, but he has a point. Russia had no intention of playing nice with its neighbours, since the annexation of Crimea or its poisoning of UK citizens in 2018. We need reliable infrastructure.
