Everything's wet because we shot everyone and all the wet leaked out. – Rick Linton

When officers allow someone like this to wear their uniform, they can't whine when we see them all like this.

The appearance of uniformity is literally the job of a uniform.

It's a brilliant idea moronically implemented. In-car autodriver is built for tragedy. A centralized driver that controls all traffic is what's needed. But we're too paranoid to try it, mostly b/c we're all too aware of the weaknesses of our fellows, and the temptations of enshittification.

I must ask whether you're a "west coast-based" Canadian creator, or a "west coast-based" American creator. Since I cannot cut American comic book companies out of my ~substantial~ comic buy-buying diet, I'm considering excising exclusively American creator-made comics

This is an anti-45/47 question

I like to think there's a chance they'd notice how the first-run Nertzis were handled, and punch our shoulder and say "It'll hurt, but you got this."

Parasites, yes, but IMO you're mistaken about the shame. Rather, deep envy for hot showers and toilets, pyrex and canning, internal combustion and ABS.

Our descendants were gonna curse us anyway ("Why'd you ever say that word in the first place, meanies?"). I.e. Most folx are jerks about SOMEthing.

@claytoncowles.bsky.social Ah the tyranny of no alt glyphs for atypical presentations of, frex, that crossbar-and-tittled "i" :(

(Regardless what the otherwise brilliant @caitlinyarsky.bsky.social sez)

That said, the unique font was a nice touch, the story wonderful. We wait for another chapter :)

I remain broken-hearted that an amazing essay decontructing Pulp Fiction through the lens love is long gone. It was brilliant, as it explained that Pulp Fiction is indeed presented "in order" in terms of the human experience of love.

My first lesson that bookmarks are NOT enough :(

And yet the best line is missing from the quote. "Maybe something cheaper, yeah?," a scathing indictment of the frivolous expense of decorative clothing during goddamn wartime.

Reportedly, Musk's response was to shrug.

Someone who can shrug at potentially losing a $100,000,000 deal is, perhaps, too rich.

Thanks for the heads-up what to expect, Ghost of Bluesky Future ;)

I once thought that. After considering his vast wealth and (far greater) vanity, I've convinced myself that his sheen is curated. He's SO rich and vain that he'd never appear in public, much less on camera, looking anything other than exactly how he wants. He understands his fear satisfies critics.

Huh. I remember an interview with her, and she explained that her mom had -wanted- to name her Orpah, but got the spelling wrong.

I found it believable, A, b/c Oprah said it herself, and B, b/c a friend of mine's mom wanted to name her Trina, but thought there was an 'h' in it similar to Theresa.

Goddamn. I loved that season... for Cohle's fundamental ingredient :(
February 15, 2024 at 2:13 AM
Wild, I did not know that. Thank you.

As a product of significant theft, what should happen to that first season?
February 13, 2024 at 6:56 AM
Haven't seen any of the 3rd.
You didn't like season 1?
