first time seeing one of these in a situation where i could actually take a picture. contrary to popular belief most snakes in Florida are relatively harmless; this one however is not. Beautiful but deadly Florida Cottonmouth.

a flock of black bellied whistling ducks circled around my neighborhood yesterday just before trick or treating started and it was so neat. (sound on for duck noises)
