Little Silver Charm the longtime mascot of Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm passed away this week. He had been entertaining visitors since the farm's founding in 2005.

My original three greyhounds Skyy, Malibu and Bailey c 2006. Skyy and Malibu were littermates but Bailey ruled the roost.

Rest in Peace D. Wayne Lukas. There are so many accolades one can add that I can't list them all but for racing fans who came of age in the 80s and 90s he was THE trainer to beat in any race that meant anything. He was amazing. Pictured here with Azeri.

I went to a wildlife sanctuary last week looking for a snowy owl. I did not see the owl or anything particularly interesting but the light on these house sparrows was lovely.
