Grijalva BETTER GET SWORN IN AND THE DISCHARGE PETITION SIGN, RELEASING THE EPSTEIN FILES at the very least.
None of them had skin in this, so what was their rationale when we sent a clear message last Tuesday? 🤬

2027!?!?
He shouldn't be in leadership NOW. He needs to step aside, or better yet, resign.
Sit down, Axelrod. We all know now that Obama won IN SPITE of you, not because of you.
PASS THE FUCKING TORCHES, DEMOCRATS.

Dude, one trillion dollars divided by 330 million Americans equals $3000.
That's supposed to cover my healthcare?
For how long?
That won't cover my current premiums, let alone anything else.
It will buy a big bag of...caramels, tho.
Iykyk
25th Amendment NOW.

Mine is slightly more than tripling, with my deductible increasing by $1000 and maximum out-of-pocket maximum raised by $1500 (to almost $10k).
I really have to weigh my options going forward. Won't be eligible for Medicare for 2 more years - if it's still solvent by then.

There is plenty of space on commercial flights for billionaires now, since none of us can afford to fly anywhere anymore.

The 8 who caved are either retiring or don't face re-election until 2028, so NO SKIN IN THE GAME.
I think they are counting on Grijalva getting sworn in (on Speaker Johnson's word) then the Epstein files will be released, and the gop will, finally, miraculously, negotiate in good faith.
Yeah, right

Maga, we knew you were gullible, but good grief, the grift you fell for couldn't be more obvious.
Might as well be playing 3 Card Monte on the street corner

Why? What's the motivation for PURPOSELY NOT getting universal coverage when "they absolutely could"?
Limbaugh claimed the ACA was designed to fail in order to make Universal Healthcare look more appealing down the road.
You say Obama and the Dems torpedoed it on purpose.
Wtf, dude.
Sealion.

gouge patients.
3. NO DENIAL FOR "PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS* - insurance companies used to be able to deny you coverage if you already had a pre existing condition like diabetes or asthma.
4. No additional charges for women just because they are women.
So, yea, Obamacare isn't the same as single payer

THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE VOTES FOR SINGLE PAYER.
THEY ONLY *BARELY* HAD ENOUGH FOR ACA/OBAMACARE. BUT WITH ACA YOU GOT:
1. Kids stay on parents plan until age 26 - instead of aging out at 18, then they had to get their own, so most went without.
2. Caps on medications, so Big Pharma couldn't continue

You make it sound like Obama and the Democrats deliberately passed a lower quality healthcare bill when they could have passed single payer. Single payer was NEVER an option. The ACA was a compromise that cost a lot of Dems their seats.

1. Single payer IS objectively better. Obama WANTED single payer but needed gop support to pass it.
2. GOP said NO
3. Obama reworks Romneycare, which Mitt started in Massachusetts.
4. Only ONE GOP rep voted with the Democrats to get the ACA passed.

He couldn't get single payer passed, so went with a GOP plan, thinking the GOP might actually be on board with THEIR OWN IDEA, but the GOP would rather oppose Obama on everything than agree on their own plan.

Give me money to directly purchase my own insurance - like I did in January, when I retired and no longer had employer-based insurance?
Where do I find this unicorn insurance that is less expensive but covers more?

Cash donations are great.
Even better? Monthly donations. Even small dollar amounts like $5 or $10 a month adds up if many donate. Also, the food bank can better budget when they have known, reliable revenue.
All tax deductible.

But that has nothing to do with the Discharge Petition. Once Grijalva is sworn in, she becomes signature 218. There isn't any "counter" or "cancel" a vote, it's just adding her signature to the petition.
