After he injured his leg back in April this year, I hadn't seen Fritz around until today!
I was sadly quite sure he passed away from his injury. Cannot describe how happy I was to see him again!

We have welcomed two cats into our home yesterday! 🐾

Unsurprisingly, the seat at the window is very popular.
The squirrels don't care at all, but I will keep an eye on how the birds seem to react. If it seems to cause a lot of stress, the feeding spot right at the window will be moved. 🐦

After not seeing Kasper at my feeding spot since his injury, my family has now spotted him at a different spot regularly.
I have the theory that they had a fight and Fritz won this feeding spot for himself.

Naturally, I had to make this to shame him. Still love him though.

For a little over a week, neither Fritz nor Kasper had shown up.
Yesterday, Fritz visited again, but he looked a little worse for wear and he was very skittish. Thankfully, beyond some missing fur and minor scratches, he seems fine!

Whatever happened to him, I'm glad he came out on top!

Unfortunately, Kasper seems to have injured his finger today.
It is very swollen and he avoids putting weight on the injured hand. I really hope it's nothing serious.

If you have any tips what I could provide for him for a quick recovery, please share!

I finally got some good shots of the Marsh Tit that started visiting recently! Including it's call~

It is quite skittish unlike many of the other birds, who don't seem too bothered by my movement behind the window. Very glad I managed to finally catch it up close!

A pair of Eurasian Jay's has recently started visiting as well! Quite exciting, as those are one of my favorite native birds.

... I'd say the new nuts are a huge success.
Although I might have to find a way to secure the bowls. Fritz is out of control. 🐿️

First spotted on March 9th, 2025 was Kasper!
Fritz showed up two days later on the 11th!

So far, despite arriving second, Fritz is visiting more regularly and seems more chaotic. Kasper has good manners!
