Frisco Pride is excited to be once again supporting the 2024 LGBTQA+ Youth Prom being organized by Pride Horizons this month. This event is for all teens between 13-18 and provides an opportunity for our LGBTQ+ to celebrate Prom Night in a safe, supportive, and affirming environment. We continue to be thankful for the support offered by the many volunteers, parents, and allies who are working to make this night an extra special one for our LGBTQ+ youth.

Pride Month is a time to center LGBTQ+ voices — to tell our stories, celebrate our victories, and remember the struggles we've overcome. But it’s also a time to recognize the strength that comes from community, which includes our allies. Since its founding in 2000, Frisco Pride has welcomed all who believe in dignity, equality, and love — whether they identify as LGBTQ+ or not.

When people think of Pride, they often imagine the bright lights of big cities — bustling parades, large crowds, and national headlines. But for many of us, Pride starts at home, in the places where we live, work, and raise our families. For Frisco and Collin County, that homegrown pride has had a name since 2000: Frisco Pride.

Every June, cities across the country explode with color, joy, and celebration as the LGBTQ+ community and its allies come together to honor Pride Month. But Pride is about so much more than parades and rainbow flags — it’s about visibility, belonging, and resilience. For 25 years, Frisco Pride has been a beacon of that resilience right here in Frisco and Collin County.
