Sunset Dunes at Ocean Beach. It’s a rare clear and very warm late afternoon The sun is bright in our eyes as it begins its setting journey into the ocean. The metal heart sculpture is backlit, its shadow stretching towards us as we look through the center of the heart towards the water. It’s all a bit overexposed and glaringly bright - you can just see the water and a few tiny dots of people in the distance. As our eyes adjust, a serendipitous surfer jogs towards his watery course and we catch him perfectly in the center of the heart summing up the moment with poetic timing. Easter Lions: A pair of glossy black lion statues wearing white and pink Easter Bunny ear headbands flank the single slate paver stair of a front step of a house. The exterior walls as well as a tall trapezoidal planter are painted dark gray. We can see the bottom of the front door (painted black) and a corner of a red welcome mat with yellow cat face on it behind the left lion. A bit of greenery pops in from the right lover corner.
