Edinburgh Fringe addict, and huge fan of the #pbhfreefringe - it has transformed the Fringe for its performers and audiences.
Dreamwidth is to other social media what the PBH is to the commercial Fringe.

It's supported entirely by payments from the users (although it's entirely usable without paying) and there are no VC owners or ads or user tracking or...

@rahaeli.bsky.social is one of the main people behind it.

On the commercial Fringe, there were a handful of musicals and operas I would normally have gone to, but not much else.

There were shows I wanted to see but didn't get a chance to: Dune (saw original run in 2023, so I know it's great), David Alnwick's magic show at Liquid Rooms, Jollyboat's two shows, 100 Julian Sterns, A Magic Morning, two Moon Pact shows, etc etc.

There are a couple of points where they go '... and that's a whole other show!'

Based on this one, I would totally see those ones too.

Apparently today was the only gayful win - the other two days saw one or two straightors walk away with the prosecco.

Seeing Andrew performing a spontaneous show when there weren't enough people in on my first attempt to see this was a revelation: he is a much better magician than his scripted shows, including this one, suggest.

From September, he will have a residency at the pub - definitely worth checking out.

Thank *you*!

It was a late decision to see this - there are slots with more shows than days - and I am so pleased that I did.
