Our playtesters too have been incredibly vital to helping with the experience, our good friends @red-hood-angel.bsky.social, @jxy.bsky.social, @bmv277.bsky.social and @thatjan.bsky.social have helped with crucial feedback and the mod wouldn't feel as fun to play as it is without their help.

If everything goes smoothly, we are hoping for a Q1 2026 release, but a late 2025 release is still in the cards if everything lines up well, but we don't want to promise a drop date yet.

This mod has come so much further than I ever expected and the team working with me to create it are amazing.

This mod has evolved into something far bigger than I ever anticipated it could, but every new thing that we work on makes me more proud of everything my amazing team has put together, without them none of this would be possible, so huge props to everyone helping make this be a reality. (5/6)

Overall I am super excited to show you all what we have in the works, and with any luck, we could have a demo with 2 weeks of content plus a bonus song by the end of June or early July! Things are still a little in flux as there have been a few minor setbacks, but things are still going well! (4/6)

There are currently two songs in production for one of the upcoming weeks, with even more planned and in discussion, as well as new assets for one of the other upcoming weeks almost fully complete! (3/6)

Currently we have 7 songs that are complete and charted, with 4 of those fully implemented with the final assets, the other 3 have temporary assets and we will be working to get things ready for those as soon as we are able to, and we even have updated versions of existing assets underway too! Using the engine, it wouldn’t be for any massively intense stuff but any insight into using the source code and how to build the mod off of it would be incredibly helpful.

My apologies for this being so long winded, but I hope this gives you all some insight into what’s been going on behind the scenes and what we have planned for the mod!

Hopefully, I will see you all by May with the 1.0 release of the mod, and you can all finally experience some of Frigid Summer.

Once all content is completed and we have everything done, including bonus songs, only then will I be ready to roll out the full release of the mod, and you can all experience Frigid Summer in its full, intended light. (4/4)

That update will likely be a 1.5 or 2.0 depending on what content is ready, that I am ideally hoping that we can see that all completed by October or November at the absolute latest, but may come later or sooner depending on how progress goes. (3/4)

As well as one of the songs planned for later in the mod. Aiming for the latest of April or May for that.

Once more assets are completed as well as the second week, that will be releasing alongside another bonus song if all goes according to plan. (2/4)

Finally, I’d like to announce that once some more assets are done for the first week (mainly dialogue portraits) and we have the sprites and stage assets all completed for the bonus song, I am planning to release a 1.0 of the mod, featuring the first main week and the first bonus song- (1/4)

3) We have a new song by @sleeplessphatmann.bsky.social that I’m sure will blow you all away when you get to that week of the mod once we reach that stage of release, it’s a phenomenal song, like all their music is.

2) Our first true Bonus song was completed by the one and only @shadtheboi1.bsky.social, it’s a very silly song but I absolutely love it, and I’m sure you all will too. It’s really dang fun.

1) We currently have new SFX, Menu, Pause and Game Over music courtesy of our newest team member, they’ve cooked some absolute fire stuff up, and I can’t wait for you to hear it all in game.
